Please try again later. The problem: The D4 light comes on (sometimes intermittently) and the car gets stuck in a higher gear than 1st. That is, it doesn’t shift through the gears, but remains in what seems to be 3rd. Manually putting the transmission into 1st works though. Solution: You can replace the TCM or fix it like we did.
