We haven’t had monkeys in our Safari drive-through for over 10 years. In our walk-through Discovery Trail, we do have owl monkeys in the Twilight Cave and you can find some more primates (lemurs), in our African Village.

More than a hundred monkeys at the West Midlands Safari and Leisure Park have had to be destroyed because of an outbreak of a disease potentially dangerous to humans. These include the Rhesus monkeys and the famous Barbary apes in Gibraltar which have so far escaped the virus.
