Why was my Nissan Note locked out of the car?
We weren’t going to use the Note today and it’s been standing since Friday. Needing to get something out, I confidently pinged the key at it…nowt happened. few more pings and I went and got the other key. Nothing again ! ‘ Car battery flat ‘ thought I….first frost.
How can I disable the alarm on a Nissan Note?
Even on a car with an immobiliser and alarm and only one remote key, if you open with the normal key (non-remote) you can disable the alarm before it goes off by putting they key in the ignition and turning it. How the plastic emergency VAG keys deal with all this I’m not sure.
Can a spare FOB be used on a Nissan Note?
Excuse me coming in on this, and it may seem very silly but you tried the spare fob without success – it is of the same age as your main one and its battery could be spent too – just a thought. does the car lock by the key in the lock on the passenger door ??

Why does my Nissan Micra make a noise when I lock the door?
My Nissan Micra 3 door diesel has recently developed a noise in the central locking. When I lock the door from the outside using the key fob, it makes a mechanical whining crunchy noise inside the driver door. Whn I lock it using the lock button between the seats it locks without noise.

It may be that the car can’t detect the key. It’s calling out to the key and waiting for a response, but your key doesn’t have the energy to answer! Faulty, cheap, low quality key batteries, are the biggest cause of problems we see in all makes of proximity or ‘smart’ keys.
