Why is there oil coming out of my prop?
The oil that this boater was seeing is probably partially burned 50:1 oil from the engine powerhead. This mixture of oil and carbon builds up in the exhaust chamber of the engine, and eventually will wash off and drain out. The result is a very black oily sludge coming from the propeller.
Can I run my boat with milky oil?
If the crankcase oil is ok with a skim of milky on top then it is condensation mixing with oil vapors. I would have burnt off with some prolonged use. Either way… change the oil and filter and run the boat a bit.

Its a older (74) evinrude 85 HP I mix the gas and oil very cautiously and use Pennzoil. The spark is strong and the motor runs great I have done compression tests on the 4 cyl they seem fine but have not done a leak down test. Its not gear oil and I have had the the lower unit pressure tested all good there.
