Why is the USB port on my GC not working?
Coincidently, I’m having the exact problem with my heretofore problem free 2014 GC Ltd. like yours I plug in the USB cord from my I Phone into the USB port, and what previously worked before, does not work and charges only. The dealer said to use the AUX port instead ! ( then, why did it work previously ?)

I’ve had my Grand Cherokee for 2 years and have always played music from a USB card in the USB port located between the dash and the gear shift. It stopped working today and just shows CONNECT DEVICE when I press USB.

Why does my USB in my console stop working?
It stopped working today and just shows CONNECT DEVICE when I press USB. When trying to change source by voice command, it says the device is not available. I’ve tried removing and reinserting the card and nothing happens. Has anyone else had this issue? How was it resolved?
