Why is my AC not working on my Jeep Wrangler?
This means you have enough vacuum to run CC and AC properly, but you’re pulling in air that shouldn’t be in the vacuum system, which somehow prevents the motor from idling correctly under load. It will run fine though, when you’re going down the road. The vacuum lines for the whole thing was about $14.

Be careful and not bend the honeycomb closed. A easy check to see if your heater core is stopped up with dirt on the outside and not letting the air flow thru it freely to transfer the heat to the ducts of the Jeep is to set it on defrost and temp on cold and feel how much air is flowing .
Why is the upper vent not working on my Jeep Wrangler?
It will not switch into upper vent mode, only have the option to have it all on my feet, or feet and windshield. I searched but didnt find any real solutions. Help? Anyone else have this issue? That’s a cable-driven switch in the YJ’s, not sure about TJ’s though.
What should coolant level be on Jeep Wrangler?
Coolant level is fine. Temperature is running at 210 degrees. Both hoses going into the firewall are very hot to the touch. I removed both hoses and flushed the heater core both ways. Does not seem to be any obstructions as water flows freely both ways.

Why does my air conditioner keep going past the defrost setting?
Must be a spring issue because one day I said **** it and kept cranking it past the defrost setting clockwise as hard as I could over and over trying to force it and the spring behind the dial popped and corrected itself.
Can a car defrost when the heat is on?
I can turn the knob to every other setting and the knob will stay there but no matter what it only comes out of the front dash vents. The fan speed works fine, and the heat and A/C both work great. I’d really like to have defrost now that it’s winter.
Why is the vent selector not working on my Jeep Wrangler?
I had that problem and, upon removal of the HVAC assembly, noticed that there was a stick wedged into the cable system. Must have fallen through the dash or something… Mine is the same way. the switch is stuck in the vent/feet position and won’t turn at all.
