Why does the fan keep coming on in a Peugeot 308?
Peugeot 308 1.6vti enginefan keeps coming on The engine fan is activated by coolant temperature, and it is normal for it to turn on when the coolant temperature increases. Be certain that your coolant level is correct, and expect it to engage from time to time, especially in warmer weather.

It was really hard to get out make sure you use a proper sloted long 22mm socket and put a jubliee clip around it to stop it spreading, then use a long breaker bar refitted and reset ecu no joy same fault Problem solved runs sweet as a nut with no annoying warning sign . very pleased and great satisfaction.

Google Thanks to these posts I have solved the same problem, Peugeot fault codes came up with P0597,P2178,P11AA,P1336,P1337,P1339,P0170 all indicating cooling and misfiring faults but when I replaced oil filler cap properly car has been running fine. thanks guys you saved my a lot on cash!! Why is my Peugeot 308 running non stop?
Hi,my peugeot 308 2008 has the same problem,i unplugged the coolant sensor between battery and engine it is running non stop still,now i Keep getting error message for depollution and expansion water tank level too low.i had cleaned the sensor on the tank but error persists any suggestion would be appreciated.
