Why does my rear air suspension not pump up?
Did NOT pump up. So it appears that the reason my tail end is high under normal driving is that at some point the rear pumped up when I’d had the trailer hooked up, but never released the air later. I pulled the two fuses that I was able to ID that are for the air suspension, but both were OK. No warning code (CEL)displayed on the dash.
Why does my suspension air bag feel loose?
However, a suspension air bag that is active is a critical part of the drivability, especially on the rear end. If it’s leaking or is not receiving proper air from the compressor, the rear suspension can feel loose or spongy when driving the car.
How can I tell if my air bags are working?
When the load is removed and the arm moves down, indicating that the back of the car has risen, the sensor opens the valve on the air bags and allows air to escape, lowering the car. If the back of the car is low, indicating that the air suspension is not working, and the air suspension light is on, check the fuse.
When to replace suspension air bag in car?
If you have a car with a suspension air bag, you’ll notice if the ride is dramatically different. When this occurs, contact your local ASE certified mechanic so they can inspect the suspension air bag and supporting suspension components and replace the suspension air bag if needed.

What to do if there is no power to the air suspension pump?
If there is no power going to the air suspension compressor, check the air suspension fuse and relay. Here is a picture that shows no power to the air suspension pump. The next step would be to use a professional diagnostic scanner such as the iCarsoft MB II to check the fault codes for the Air Suspension Control Unit.

Where is the air bag on a rear wheel drive car?
One of the most common parts that fail is the suspension air bag. The suspension air bag is typically in the rear of a vehicle and on rear-wheel drive cars, trucks and SUV’s. It works by receiving air from the suspension compressor that is also located near the rear of the vehicle.
