Why does my Nissan Smart Key not work?
The engine, battery and power steering indicators are highlighted in the dash along with I-key system error intermittently with ‘press brake & start button’. The start button light is on, radio, fans, door locks, power windows all work. The front lights do not. The trunk release on the smart key does not work for some reason. Gear shift works.

Disconnect the battery and let the car sit for a few minutes. Now make sure your key fob is in the car and reconnect your car battery.
