Why does my Mazda MX-5 have water leaking into the floor?
My 2007 Mazda MX-5 MIATA has water leaking into the passenger side floor. I brought it to Mazda a month ago today and they charged me $160.00+ and said it was a clogged drain because of leaves etc.?

I use a flexible net curtain rail (the bendy white things) with a test tube cleaning brush fitted to the end. Some from miata.net use a trombone cleaner (basically the same thing, a flexible rod with a small brush on the end). Either way, it should be pushed from the top down, then pulled out the bottom.

Unfortunately Mazda only stands behind their design flaws during the warranty period of the car. If there is major design flaw, the problem should occur during that period and be resolved under warranty. After that period the customer is responsible for the repair.
