Why does my Jeep FOB not unlock the door?
What is weird is that I usually have this issue after driving the Jeep for awhile and shutting it off for 5 minutes or so, then I can’t get back in unless I hit the unlock button 10-15 times. Sure is embarrassing standing there beside the Jeep not being able to get back in. And if you use the key to unlock the door you set off the alarm! Exactly.

I quickly inserted into the ignition thinking that’s going to help reprogram the key fob. Took it out it hit the unlock and lock button and it worked again Not sure if this applies to the WK but on the WK2, several people have also noticed the same issue the OP described with the keyless lock button on the door handle.

Guess it’s the WCM (whatever that is) within the Jeep. Wireless control module… Typically if a dealer needs to reset something there is another underlying cause… Not that I would have ANY idea what that is over the interwebz. Personally I have never had to reset a wcm to repair a key problem.

Pull and press all of them firmly back in place. I had the same problem with my Compass when I had it for a week (week of May 8th ’07) I was about to call the dealer because there are times that I cannot lock or unlock the doors with the remote keys.
