He was about to take it to a dealer to be checked out when someone told him to turn the key to the on position and leave it there until the dash lights went out then start the truck. 59 people found this helpful. Something grounded out and prob shorted a inline fuse so when you turn the key to run you hear your fuel pump Prime the line but when you crank the motor starts then dies. It has to do with your gin. Or ecu. Pcm not telling the pump to fun.
