Why does my car not beep when I lock the doors?
I took my car in for service and when I got it back the car no longer beeps when I lock the doors. The lights will blink but no beep. Unlocking the doors produces a beep but it’s more like two quick beeps instead of just the one like it was before.
Is there a remote lock that does not Beep?
A guy over on the W203 forum solved his by re-soldering the contacts: My CLK has never beeped when locking/unlocking the doors remotely. All the required lights flash 3 times, but no beeps.
Is there a way to enable the beep when unlocking a Toyota?
For some odd reason Toyota has disabled the beeping when locking and unlocking, however the car still beeps for warning. There is also no option for beep volume in Techstream so was wondering if anyone knows any combination of button presses that could enable the beep? You mean the beep on the outside?

If the horn is on silence, the lights wont flash when unlocking. But the lights will flash if you hit the lock button. Give those steps a try^^^^ and if not, it might have to do with your keyless entry computer, or your BCM. I had an issue with the doors not locking at 20 MPH, and unlocking when the key was removed.

Sometime after the MY2005 facelift, MBZ changed the system to chirp by default, without the need for the “Netherlands” setting. It was phased in slowly, with the E-class first, then the CLK, and others.

Is there a beep on the door lock?
You should hear electronic beep on the second press of the lock button, not a horn beep, this is the “Honda Way” unlike some manufactures which use a horn beep. Mine works that way and I do not recall any mention of a way to change or disarm this function in the manual. You should have a beep on the second push.

Why does my QX70 make a honk sound when I unlock the door?
I think that holding down both the lock and unlock buttons for like 10 or 15 seconds reset it and brought the chirp back. thats to have the honk sound when you hit the lock button when you use the keyfob, if you hold lock and unlock for over 3 seconds it will turn that setting on or off.
