Why do I hear crickets all the time?
Unfortunately, over the past number of years (I can’t remember when the tinnitus started), I have to put up with the high-pitched sounds of those crickets. Many people wonder what causes tinnitus.

So if you have one tree cricket, you hear (imitating cricket chirping). But if you have lots and lots and lots of tree crickets, all those sounds blend together. Having the radio, people talking, dinner being made, dogs barking becomes too much. So when I hear the crickets it’s like hearing the sound of quiet. I quite enjoy it. If one is practising Yoga/Meditation/Pranayam one may hear such sounds but it’s a good omen as it suggests advancement in spirituality. In Hindu scriptures this is called anhad naad.
