Why are the fans on my car not working?
It melts and this particular part sends power to the cooling fan thermal switch AND the Fan control module. The fan module also sends power to the a/c compressor. So pretty much the fans don’t work and your a/c blows warm. Check this first before checking other areas.

The mkiv fans have two speeds…. low and high. Both fans always work in tandem. The resistor pack inside the fans will burn out and the fans will stop working on low speed but will still work on high speed when the engine gets too warm.
