Why are the doors on my Range Rover not opening?
Pulled out the key and pressed the unlock button on the key fob remote while at the same time depressing the dash door lock button three separate times. The doors locked and unlocked three times while pushing the dash door lock button, but the remote still does not work and the key still will not unlock the drivers door.
Is there a way to unlock the doors of a Range Rover?
The doors to my 2008 Land Rover Range Rover HSE will not unlock with the key fob or if I use the key in the drivers door. However, I can lock and unlock the doors with the interior door lock button. I have been driving around recently without a way to lock my car and need to find a solution.

The link below shows some pictures of what is inside the lower half. First off, all the moving parts are in the lower half so the trick is to get the black carpet removed from the lower half and at the bits without damaging the electrical wires that are hidden within.

Mine was under warranty and the tech at the dealer knew exactly where to drill a hole through the tailgate panel to release the tailgate. Dealer installed a new actuator and a new carpeted tailgate panel. Ed Rustioni likes this.

I found a different way to hook up the new cable- which requires almost no fabrication: Then pop the internal tabs out of the new cable bracket with a screwdriver, and mount the bracket below the actuator unit using the stock hardware.
