Why are the cooling fans running on my Silverado Sierra?
When this happens my temp gauge will read zero and when I kill the engine the fans stay on. The only way to shut them off is to crank the engine and shut it right back off. I have been through two temp sensors and still have the problem. It does not do it all the time but when it does it will stop and not do it for a while.

Took it to the dealer they said it was because mu AC was out which does not make since. The dealer said oh ya it most likely do to that, so $1500.00 later for a new condenser and 2 weeks later they are doing it again!! Got to be a rheostat or thermal coupler.

Just the blower is intermittent, not the compressor. Fan speed does not have set speeds, it’s more like a rheostat. It has the rotary control.

After fiddling with the controls a bit I gave up and rolled the windows down. About five minutes later it was eating at me so I switched the control from off to max and the fan kicked on like it was supposed to and was blowing cold air.
