What is p1148 and p0031 in Nissan Versa?
P1148 is a Closed Loop Control Function in Bank 1. P0031 is Air Fuel Ratio Sensor 1 Heater Bank 1 Control Circuit Low I would Imagine these two are related. I did book an appointment at Nissan, for Friday, before I had access to a code reader, But I would like to try and do it on my own if it were possible.
When to set code p1148 on Nissan Altima?
When this happens, the PCM sets code P1148, and illuminates a warning light. Note that on Nissan/Infiniti applications, this code is set on the first fault cycle. The image below shows one example of an air/fuel ratio sensor that is suitable for use on a late model Nissan Altima.
What does the code p0031 mean on a Nissan?
Check for damaged components and look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded terminals. The code means that there is a problem with the heater element circuit of the heated oxygen sensor. Water getting inside the heated oxygen sensor connector can caused the heated oxygen sensor fuse to blow, which is a very common problem for this type codes.
What is the OBD 2 fault code p1148?
OBD II fault code P1148 is a manufacturer specific code that is defined by car makers Nissan and Infinity as “Closed Loop Control Function Bank 1”, and on these applications, code P1148 is set when the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) detects a condition relating to an air/fuel ratio sensor that prevents it (the PCM) from entering closed loop …
