Click to expand… Thanks Silver Onyx. Another question. On my 2001 Ford F150, I installed a transmission oil drain plug. Every third motor oil change, I pull the transmission plug and drain what comes out (about 5 qts., but it holds 15 qts), and replace it with new fluid.

How much does it cost to change Subaru transmission fluid?

That way if it fails the only person who touched it was a “Subaru Certified Technician” using Subaru parts. They won’t have a leg to stand on to avoid my warranty claim. Around me they charge approx $300 to do the job.
