When was the first year of the Kia Forte?

Why does my Kia Forte knock at Cold Start?
One way to eliminate/confirm the serpentine belt loop as the source of the noise is to remove the belt, and run the engine for a short time. If the noise goes away, the noise is in the belt loop, if not it’s the engine. Just to compete the oil history, what oil viscosity do you use, and have you been using KIA filters?
Why does my Kia Forte make a ticking noise?
So, because the noise started so late with your Forte, it doesn’t fit the characteristics of most of the other ‘ticking’ reports. Ticking noises can also be produced by pulleys and belts, so have you confirmed that the noise is an internal engine noise, and not something coming from the serpentine belt loop?
What should I do if my Kia Forte is stalling?
If the vehicle does not appear to be flooding, and also does not run on external fuel, then one final thing to try is remove and replace the gas cap before retrying the restart. If nothing so far has been successful, then the diagnosis would head down the spark testing path.
