As to whether HD has addressed this, sure they did. Beginning with the 2006 Dyna, they changed the design to hydraulic tnesioners with different bearings and tensioiner material.

Getting mine done next week, Kit number 25284-08 on a 2000 flht. have SE203’s and Kit will work fine with those cam’s. Quoted four hours labor plus parts. Does the new hydraulic cam chain tensioner truely significantly outlast the old style?
