Cross the water at 3-4 mph. Drive in the center of the road, the highest point. Let cars cross the road one-by-one. Dry brakes with slow, light taps after exiting the water.
Can water affect the clutch?
Water shouldn’t affect the clutch as that will dry out with use. You need to check the starter motor system. If the water has been sucked into the engine that’s different.

Avoid drinking water or any other fluids at least two hours before sleeping to prevent waking up at night. If drinking water before bed has caused you to experience irregular symptoms, talk with your doctor or dietitian.
What to do if you drive through high water?
Change the air filter as that is cheap and now soaked with tons of dust and crap. Check all of your fluids, although the brake fluid and power steering reservoirs are pretty high up and safe, if you have a leak, they could not contain a significant amount of dirty water, they may be due for changing anyways.
What to do if your car won’t start after driving through water?
This morning I drove through some flood water at an intersection about 2-3 feet deep during a heavy rain storm. Shortly after, my 91 T-Bird died. After three hours my car still won’t start. So I left the car and walked home. It seems the only thing I can do is let the wiring dry out for a few days.

What happens when you drive through a puddle of water?

The slave cylinder is above the transmission and if the clutch gets wet it’ll dry out pretty quickly. My best guess is that there was some oil on the underside and the water pushed the oil slick to the clutch.
