What should I do if my Aprilia RS 125 is not starting?
Whilst plug is out do a compression test. use a decent compression gauge to do the test . Check fuel is fresh and getting to the carb. Check air filter is clean. check timing spark problem – duff plug, cap, ht lead, coil – CDI , check timing .
Why is my Aprilia Scooter still not firing?
Check The Exhaust for blockages. A friend of mine took his scooter back to the dealership. where they claimed to strip the engine down, before noticing a bottle cap on the exhaust. If your still not firing by now, you are almost certainly going to need to buy one thing atleast before you are.
How do you check for a spark in a Piaggio?
At its simplest you can check for a spark by removing the plug and resting its threaded part on a good earth point on the engine and either turn the engine over on the starter or kick it over with the ignition on.
Why does my electric scooter not start up?
If the scooter has been sitting for a few months with gas in the carburetor, the gas may have evaporated and left a sticky “gum” behind that will prevent the carburetor from working properly and which must be removed. If the automatic choke is OK, the starter cranks the engine, there’s gas and there’s a spark then there may be an engine problem.

Why is my Aprilia loom not working properly?
Another problem can be faulty contacts in the wiring loom (block connectors) i always slit these put an electrical contact cleaner in them to ensure good contacts throughout the whole loom. id do this yearly as rain , moisture can affect these joints causing a white powdery stuff to form again no idea what this stuff is.

What’s the problem with my Aprilia RS 125?
Sit on it with choke on for a while, warms up, ticks over fine without choke at around 1500 rpm, get into first (clutch gave no bite, but I’ve adjusted that, now I do get a biting point, but the clutch lever is a little flimsy/wobbly with the adjuster nuts screwed in).
What to do if your Aprilia engine wont start?
If yes, (and you aren’t already using the original plug from the engine) take the original plug out and check that one. If it doesn’t spark now, buy a new plug. If no spark, (and you are using the original plug) buy a new plug. If no spark, (and you are using a plug you know is good) you have problems.
If your attempt at starting your scooter is met with only a small amount of sputtering, your spark plug may be the culprit—or your battery. If your spark plug isn’t sparking because it has broken, your engine can’t explode the compressed fuel. Spark plugs are relatively cheap to replace, luckily.
Why does my lexmoto Street 125 not start?
Idles nice around 1800 – 2000 rpm and with choke goes up to 4000 just fine but once i use throtle it starts to sputter as if it’s gasping for air. Any idea what could be wrong? This post is not being displayed . Can confirm that kill switch simply kills spark but allows starter to operate on Street. This post is not being displayed .
