About Palette by KnitPIcks KnitPicks Palette is a 100% Peruvian Highland wool in a fingering/4ply weight. It is perfect for Fair Isle or stranded knitting as it has the properties required for steeking and comes in a range of 150 colours.

Knit Picks makes some other really nice and fairly inexpensive yarns. I made a pair of socks years ago out of their sock yarn and they are still in good shape. The washable wool yarn is another good choice for just about everything from sweaters to mittens.
