Can a 94 Fat Boy Run 75K miles?
Just picked up a 94 Fat boy with 75,000 miles yes 75k. Runs well. Do not have any history on bike as far as what fluids were used where. The bike sits for a few weeks starts up quiet, no smoke and the tranny and clutch work excellent.
As long as the motor oil lacks the “Energy Conserving” logo in the bottom rocker, it’s all good. I like Dexron III. Heavier oils (20w-50, Formula+) will cause more “clunk” when shifting due to increased parasitic drag on the clutch plates. You could always go out on a limb and actually use the Harley oil.
