I think I’m on the lean side on the slow, but I’m leaving it in there as I’m hitting Colorado this weekend… 48/180 seems awfully rich for an 883, but what do I know? All bikes like different things.
What kind of jet do you use for a Sportster?
I am currently using a #48 slow jet and a #180 main jet with no shims on the needle and 1.5 turns out on the screw. It seems to be running pretty well now (replaced the 45/175 that the dealer had in there). I’m a bit concerned about running rich now but as best I can tell it’s worlds better than before, and I’d rather be rich than lean any day.
What kind of pipes do you use for a Sportster?
When it comes to pipes you can’t hardly find one that will work on two differant size motors, like the 883 and the 1200 sportsters. What i have found is most are tuned for the bigger 1200’s That’s why my kerker 2into1 was flowing to much for my little 883, but after tuning it to closer match the smaller motor the differance is night and day!
