Is there a rev limit on a powerloss?

When in limp mode the turbo control is disabled, so you don’t get much boost and hence not much acceleration, and there is a 3000rpm limit imposed on top of this. So this fits with your description. NOTE that in neutral there is always a lower rev limit to protect the engine, I’m not sure what that limit is though, I should try it one day.
