Yeah the key when pressing the button lights up. Using a volt meter and measure the batteries as 3.2V so it’s new. It’s very annoying Putting old battery in again works but yeah it’s running low. I’ll go to the shops tomorrow and buy another battery and see if that works else it’ll be back to mazda.

Mazda’s are not known for battery problems. With that said, chances are either your new battery is not fully charged or it is a dud. It is most likely not fully charged. I suggest that you get it fully charged. As for the jumper, that is always a nice accessory to own regardless of which car you drive.

What should I do if my Mazda battery keeps draining?
Regular batteries arent made for deep cycles. Either way the testing is free at Advanced and AutoZone. Check to make sure the trunk light is turning off when you close it. If you leave the car sitting for days at a time you should also change the security light to an LED which draws less power from the batt when it blinks.
