What is the vacuum hose from the throttle body?
It’s purpose is to pull in hot air from above the exhaust when the engine is cold and then switch to the normal intake duct when warm. If you take the lid off the air cleaner you’ll see a little non-electric device connected to the bottom, this is a temp switch. On the bottom of it are two vacuum connectors.
What does a vacuum on a throttle body do?
When a vacuum leak occurs, some air enters the intake manifold without passing through the throttle body. The ECU, meanwhile, injects the amount of fuel necessary based only on the measured air-flow. This results in a lean fuel-air mixture, which then leads to erratic idling and lacklustre low-speed performance.

Where is the purge hose on a VTV?

What happens to the throttle body when you press the pedal?
When the driver presses the pedal the butterfly in the throttle body pivots to let more air flow into the manifold. When that happens, the throttle position sensor reports to the ECU that you have stepped on the gas.
