What is senergy wall system component material?
This is a high- impact, water-managed system that uses a cement-board core with a polymer modified, fiberglass reinforced mesh base coat and 100% acrylic polymer exterior finish.
Is Senergy eifs?
Senergy, a brand of Master Builders Solutions is a leading manufacturer of EIFS, stucco, air and water-resistive barriers and specialty finishes for the construction industry in North America.
What is senergy stucco?
Cement Board Stucco is a highly impact and puncture resistant wall system with the look of stucco. Exterior cladding systems with MaxGrip Veneer Mortar, a high-strength, specially formulated setting bed mortar used to adhere natural and manufactured stone, ceramic tile, and thin brick veneer.
What is Senerflex?
Senerflex Classic PB is an Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS) that provides a durable weather-resistant primary barrier. The system offers design flexibility, aesthetic appeal and energy savings.
What is drainage EIFS?
Exterior insulation and finishing systems (EIFS) are inherently defective and unfit of use as an exterior cladding system where moisture sensitive components are used without a provision for drainage or in locations and assemblies without adequate drying.
What is drive stucco?
The product called Dryvit is a type of synthetic stucco that is applied as a final coat to another stucco system, such as EIFS, to keep water from penetrating the other layers of the wall. Hence the usage of “dry.”
What is Class PB EIFS?
Class PB EIFS typically use adhesively fastened expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation, and glass fiber reinforcing mesh embedded in a nominal 1/16 inch (1.6mm) base coat. An EIFS finish coat is used over the base coat. PB EIFS represents the majority of EIFS used in North America.
What is the difference between EIFS and stucco?
Unlike traditional stucco that utilizes natural ingredients and mesh, External Insulation and Finishing Systems (EIFS) stucco uses layers that add in synthetic materials. When such layers are applied, EIFS provides more protection and insulation than traditional stucco—but it also comes with some risks.
How does EIFS system work?
EIFS is wall cladding that uses stiff insulation boards on the outside of a wall and a plasterlike exterior covering. Panels of polystyrene foam insulation are installed and covered with a base coat. Glass fiber mesh is applied to panels for reinforcement, and a finishing coat is applied last.
How does EIFS drain?
Some EIFS contractors use special corrugated or wrinkled sheathing papers to create the drainage space, while others have vertical grooves cut into the back face of the foam insulation. In all cases, the drainage plane leads to a perforated weep flashing at the foundation to drain away any trapped water.
