What is DP in CPU?
A dual-processor (DP) is a system that includes two separate physical processors in the same framework. In systems containing dual processors, each physical processor may be located on the same or different motherboards. Both physical processors may include multiple cores.
How does Profibus work?
The PROFIBUS DP network is a multi-master token network – that means when there are two or more masters in the system, a token giving the right to talk to the field devices is passed from master to master, and each gets a share of the communication time.
What is DP used for?
DisplayPort (DP) is an audio/video (A/V) display interface used to connect a video source to a display device. For example, you may connect a computer monitor to the PC using the DisplayPort. DisplayPort primarily replaces older interface technologies, including VGA and DVI.
What is DP protocol?
Profibus DP is a protocol made for (deterministic) communication between Profibus masters and their remote I/O slaves. PROFIBUS DP (Decentralised Peripherals) is used to operate sensors and actuators via a centralised controller in production (factory) automation applications.
What is DP module?
DP slave modules or devices can be added as per requirement on the DP master bus. DP master system is used for Profibus communication between the slave device and the master system. For example purpose, here we have taken S7-300 PLC as a master system and IM module as a slave device.
What do you need to know about Siemens products?
If products and components from other manufacturers are used, these must be recommended or approved by Siemens. Proper transport, storage, installation, assembly, commissioning, operation and maintenance are required to ensure that the products operate safely and without any problems. The permissible ambient conditions must be adhered to.
Is the PN / DP CPU interface module recyclable?
Recycling and disposal The IM 151-8 PN/DP CPU interface module is recyclable due to its non-toxic materials. For environmentally compliant recycling and disposal of your electronic waste, please contact a company certified for the disposal of electronic waste.
