What is ASD on a Jeep?

The crank sensor sends the pulse to the PCM and then it sends the signals to the proper areas like spark, fuel relay, and injector pulse.

Why is my Jeep PCM not working properly?
If the problem was only with the scanner connection, the jeep would at least run normally. Now these 2 problems combined would lead to think that there is some electrical connection problem with the PCM. I would disconnect the battery and then disconnect and clean the PCM connectors with electrical contact cleaner.
