What is adventure training Sea Cadets?
Cadets go to sea, learn to sail and do adventure training, all on a nautical theme, giving them extra skills to give you a head start in life. Activities aim to develop social skills and responsibility in young people whilst helping them build confidence and learn to work as part of a team.
What activities do Sea Cadets do?
diving, not forgetting adventure and expedition training, rock climbing, shooting, drill and piping, music, meteorology, and even cookery! As part of the Sea Cadets, Royal Marines Cadets get to do all the exciting waterborne activities as well as branching off into serious adventurous training too.

Ships. The Sea Cadets have three classes of offshore vessels, all of which are capable of coastal/offshore passage making. Sea Cadet voyages normally last for 1 week, with cadets gaining RYA qualifications for their voyage.

How do you become a sea cadet?
Requirements of the Navy Sea Cadet Program
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident.
- Between the ages of 10-18.
- Must be unmarried, alcohol-free, and drug-free.
- You need to have good grades in school with at least a C-grade point average.
- Physically and mentally able to participate in activities.
- No criminal record.
Do Sea Cadets do Shooting?
CCRS promotes and organises marksmanship and competitive shooting across the four cadet youth organisations: Combined Cadet Force; Sea Cadet Corps and the Royal Marine Cadets; Army Cadet Force; and the Royal Air Force Air Cadets. Basic shooting instruction and training is completed within cadet units.
