I replaced the latch assembly on both doors. Quite expensive at around £150 each. The one for keyless entry has an extra motor. Requires quite a bit of stripping down of the door to replace. Window has to come out as well. Sounds worse than it is but takes a bit of time and fiddling!

Why is my Jaguar XF club not working?
One of the answers I got indicated that it could be the car battery being low on power. Jaguar cars, having a lot of electrical goodies on board, do need a fully charged battery, and this could be possible in your case. My car is now sitting outside the garage being charged. Where is the dock on a Jaguar XF?

How does the FOB work on the XF?
Another useful quirk with the fob is that you can open or close all the windows in one go by holding down on the lock/unlock button on the second press. I should have put that the other way round, lock will close windows and unlock will open them. I’m sure you will enjoy the XF, I certainly have although even now I’ve only managed 53,000 miles.
