How do I connect to ActiveCaptain?
- From the home screen of the fishfinder, select ActiveCaptain.
- Select Wi-Fi to enable the network.
- Bring the smart device within 24 m (80 ft.)
- On the smart device, open ActiveCaptain.
- Select Connect to Garmin Wi-Fi.
- Select the fishfinder Wi-Fi network and enter the fishfinder’s password.
- Select Connect.

Do you have to have a Garmin account to use ActiveCaptain?
Answer: If a Garmin customer uses cartography (2012 or newer) in his/her chartplotter, he/she can use that same cartography in ActiveCaptain for free. In order to be able to access your maps within ActiveCaptain, you need to register your maps to your Garmin account.
