How to adjust valves on a twin cam?
The twin cam has hydraulic lifters and the old sporty was solid lifters. Click to expand… It depends on the pushrod because different brands have a different thread pitch. Yours should have come with an instruction sheet. At TDC on the compression stroke adjust each pushrod on that cylinder until you just barely remove all slack.

The fuel tank was de-pressurized, off camera, allowing for the fuel feed line to be unplugged. Removal of the dash and trim piece is next, followed by loosening and finally removing the tank from the frame of the motorcycle. Finally, the stock air cleaner assembly is removed. Bob always suggests keeping your removed, stock, assemblies together.
