Install note: get a 1×4 piece of wood, insert it to the far left of the radio opening and turn it on its side, this will lift the dash, it’s plastic it’ll bend some. This will give you some room with your hand to maneuver the sensor into place.
How to put a running lamp in a GMC Yukon?
Lift the dash with some wood reach in and twist it towards the passenger side, it’ll drop out, then pull on the lock tab and pull a little. Slide in the new one, it is grooved so you can’t put it in wrong.

Just a tip though in 2002 there are 2 domes on the dash, the left or drivers side one is the sun load sensor for the hvac, and the passenger side one is for the auto headlamps. You can’t find that info anywhere so I thought I would share. Never was too much of a concern just annoying since I replaced the DLR sockets.
