Should I use progressive or interlaced?
Progressive is ideal for higher quality displays for smoother video output. Video broadcasts are traditionally interlaced. Our eyes are not really aware of the transitions that take place in our TV. On standard displays using interlaced scanning it should be fine, but flicker and artifacts are noticeable.

I can see, when i look at the video, that it is interlaced and good looking, so everything is in order. But the MXF file is identifying it self as a Progressive video, so our asset management system treat it as a progressive file 1080p and so does the Avid Mediacomposers.
