Is there any water loss in a Cummins ISX?
Changed coolant filter, changed surge tank (old one was cracked, replaced with Dorman), coolant filter valve o-rings, new surge tank fill cap (genuine Paccar), put a hose from the pressure cap nipple to the frame so i can see any evidence of water loss- None so far.

While there is no direct campaigns that would apply to your complaint of coolant loss, the egr cooler is the most likely culprit.

Truck seems to be doing fine when suddenly you feel the loss of power, if you take the foot out of the gas pedal kinds of breath and gets back to normal. How much does a Cummins ISM engine weigh?
I’m looking to buy another haul truck, a Peterbilt with the Cummins ISM mated to a 10-speed. The truck weighs about 17,000 and I’ll be pulling about 45,000 at the most. Does anyone have any feedback about the ISM. My truck now has the N14 set up for 460HP which is a powerhouse although I have had some problems with the ECM and a lot of oil leaks.
