Is there an issue with the timing chain on the Traverse?
They said that the timing chains were stretched and that was an issue with the Traverse. I ask if there was anything that I had done to cause any engine problems. I was told no. At this point I am waiting for someone else to call me back from GM.

GM, you need to recognize you have issues with timing chain and blaming owners for the issues is not helping. I’m seeing them go out from 25k to 105k miles…odd for the same problem to happen to so many. Shame on you and you are putting many families at risk to those who have YET to have theirs go out.

Do you have to drop the cradle for timing chain replacement?
However given the (high) number of timing chain replacements you can rest easy knowing the dealership has had lots of experience doing such a job :. It looks like the whole engine cradle will have to be dropped to get the work done , just look at how little space there is in the engine compartment .
