Is there a 4WD light on my Chevy Silverado?
My 2001 chevy Silverado is doing the same thing. I got my transmission replaced and when I got it back, it kept displaying the service 4wd light on my dash. I’ve had it back for maybe a total of 4 days and its been Locked into 4 high maybe 3 times. When it gets locked it wont come out, it takes a minute.

One day while attempting to shift into 4wd high from 2wd, all lights went out on the 2wd-4wd-4wd low swith and the “Service 4wd” light came on. I had a ’99 Tahoe that did this once and replcing the fuse worked.

GM push-button 4wd is goofy. sometimes they need reset. but, if that doesn’t work, i’d throw a switch at it if i were you. i know exactly what it is check your solenoid on your front axle for a loose or shorted connection!! been there done that!
How to change 4 wheel drive from 2WD to 2WD?
