Is the Nissan Xterra over heating in the shade?

Today, my Xterra started over heating. Yes, today is one of the hotter days we’ve had in Southern Indiana this year, but not the hottest my Xterra has been in. Everything is fine while moving. Both fans are running when it goes above normal temp. A/C gets hot while idling (even in shade) and temp starts to increase.

Is the XTERRA trail run open to the public?

The village of Kahakola is 14 miles away. The run course is part of the Village Walking Trails and is open to the public. You can run any day between sunrise and sunset except Saturday, December 4. The course will be closed until 2pm for XTERRA Trail Run Worlds and Kapalua Trail Runs.

What’s the water temp on a Nissan Xterra?

Mine always ran a bit hot but I recently replaced the thermostat, fan clutch and water temp sensor and now it runs a fair bit cooler. It idles at about 183F and gets up to maybe 200F on a long highway drive in the middle of the day.

When does the elite race start at Xterra?

To provide a clean race for the professional field, the elite race will start at 8am and the age group field will start at 9:00am (tentatively), which would allow elites to get on to their second lap of the bike before the first age groupers start their first lap.

Why does my Nissan Xterra engine keep overheating?

That was what caused my overheating. As soon as I replaced it, all was well and it hasn’t overheated since. If it is working properly, you should hear a definite roar coming from under the hood when the engine is hot. If you aren’t, or it takes some revving to get that sound, it is probably the clutch fan.
