Is the Nissan Sentra transmission under warranty?
She was told that the transmissions in the 2008 Sentra’s are NOT under the warranty and she has to pay $3000 for a new transmission (which is again, not under warranty) AND $67 for the tow!!??? She doesn’t have $3,000 (a new mom) and bought a “new car” for “safety reasons”. Anyone out there know why Nissan doesn’t warranty their transmissions?
Are there any problems with the Nissan Sentras CVT?
The 2013 and 2014 Nissan Sentras, in particular, seemed to give drivers the most fits as far as the Nissan CVT transmission problems go. There was one very prominent problem with 1st generation Nissan Versas released between 2007 and 2011 that earned Nissan a lot of negative press.
How many transmission choices did the 2008 Sentra have?
We need a bit more info. The ’08 Sentra probably had two transmission choices, depending on the motor.
When did the 6th generation Nissan Sentra come out?
When the 6th generation Nissan Sentra was put out in 2013, many people who bought it reported problems like revving and jerking and total CVT transmission failure. It often struck at around the 80,000-mile mark and cost about $3,500 to fix.
