Is the Mercedes-Benz radiator cooling fan permanently running?
When the car goes in during the next few days I will ask them to check basic things again, though the ecu has been ordered so they will want to fit it. Its a shame they have ordered the ecu and im sure they wont take it back if you dont want it. What sort of discount have they offered you.

Can a 10 year old radiator fan be replaced?
Yesterday I asked the MB dealer about an ECU repair option. They said MB do not offer that. A new ECU would not be available for a 10 year old car and replacement ECUs are refurbs. Perhaps there are other avenues for repair of ECUs. When the replacement ECU was fitted the fan was not on permanently.

My 06 c230 is providing fuel while cranking motor over but not priming under accessories mode. (Right before cranking it over) changed out fuel pump relay and fuel pump fuse just to see if that would work. Poured gas in the intake where maf sensor is still no start.

But under fault conditions it could fail as ‘always on’ or ‘never on’. Mostly (according to this forum) a failed BR causes the a/c blower to run uncontrolled. Btw your WIS a/c circuit diagram is not identical to mine for W208. However the blower motor/regulator part is the same.

Fuel pump simply didn’t work because of bad relay. Find relay and switch it with rear heating window relay because they are the same and try. That was my fix and it didn’t cost nothing. No problem after that fix. 3 people found this helpful.

Immediately upon starting the car, the radiator fan begins to run full speed, even though the car is stone cold. The AC is OFF. The radiator and condenser are BRAND NEW.
