Is the junkyard transfer case shift actuator bad?
From what I gleaned from the service representative, either the junkyard transfer case shift actuator/motor is bad, the wiring harness that goes from the relays to the shift actuator is bad, or the relays themselves are bad.
Why is my transfer case not shifting and stuck?
I visually inspected the transfer case motor/actuator as my friend changed the selector from 4Hi to 2wd and the output “shaft” of the motor/actuator rotated about 30 degrees. Definitely less than 45 degrees. Then when my friend changed the selector back to 4Hi the output shaft didn’t move at all.

Why does my transfer case not shift out of 4HI?
I bought a new transfer case shift motor/actuator and installed it, but the truck still wouldn’t shift out of 4Hi. If you started the truck with the selector on 4Hi, the pictogram showed all 4 wheels engaged, but when you change the selector to 2wd the pictogram goes blank and the 4WD error light comes up.
