Is it normal for shifter not to shift into Park?
Yeah, I have to rock mine a little, sometimes, to get it in Park, but not all the time. Sometimes it will just go straight in. All the other positions are fine, so I guess that’s normal then. When I turn the key back on, it’s always in Park, though, so I don’t have that problem Grizwaldo. At least, not yet anyway. LOL.

I’d suggest checking the shift linkage on the transmission to see if the cable came off. This is due to the connector end bushing falling apart and not being able to hold the cable on any longer. It won’t budge. Holding the brake pedal down, turning the key to the ON position, will not allow me to bring it out of Park. When I let the e-brake down, the truck advanced at least a foot, and would have kept going; considering it is in Park, the truck should have stopped. Perhaps this points to a busted shift cable?
