Is it easy to replace a heater core in a Jaguar?
This write up covers the removing and replacing a heater core assembly “the easy way” rather than removing the complete air blend box assembly which is a very big job. (refer to my write up on this in the Feb/Mar 2016 issues of Jaguar Torque.) The above models are fitted with the Delanaire Mk-2 system which the following write up covers.
Why is the solenoid on my Jaguar heater not working?
It is an active low circuit, so when the DCCV sees Ground at either the LH and/or RH pin, the respective solenoid within the DCCV activates. Case 1: Temperature setting “Lo” = CCM output ON (grounded) = solenoid ENERGZIED = solenoid valve CLOSED = coolant flow to heater core impeded = heater core NOT HOT when A/C is ON.
What’s the temperature of the heater on a Jaguar?
What I found is that the heat in the car was about 20° cooler on the driver’s side with the control panel set to 85°. I went to the DCCV and checked the temperature on the three heater tubes going back to the firewall.
How to diagnose a heater leak in a Jaguar?
1. Unbolt the Coolant/Water Expansion Tank, set it aside so it doesn’t block access to the Heater Valve. 2. Loosen the bolt that secures the Heater Valve to the car. 3. Rotate the Heater Valve to get access to its connector. Procedure A (This one is messy. We recommend that you do Procedure B instead.):

How do you replace a heater core in a car?
There are two options when you order a new heater core assembly. Option 1 Simply order a new standard unit and cut the pipes off in the same position as you did on the old unit. Option 2 Send you old unit away to a supplier and have them remove both end tanks and reinstall them onto a new heater core.
Why is my Jaguar climate control valve not working?
If this condition is not attended to the result could be that the valve solenoids can draw excessive current and damage the Air Conditioning Climate Control Module (CCM) circuit board. Earlier models apparently were more tolerant to the higher currents and less likely to be damaged. http://www.jagtv.co.uk/videos/jaguar-… Loading…
