Berlin was in a serious car accident that forced her to retire from gymnastics. She had to get four surgeries to repair a list of injuries no one wants to have. Two collapsed lungs, two broken legs, a broken collarbone and a broken wrist were suffered in the accident. A rod had to be inserted into her femur.
What happens at the end of Full Out?
During the final credits we see the real Coach Val and some of the other real gymnasts. After Ariana was hurt in the car wreck, she went through a phase of self-pity. Her physical therapist Michelle (Asha Bromfield) very cleverly took her to watch her hip hop dance troupe. That’s when she started to reclaim her life.
