How does the road king compare to this one?
How does the King compare to this one in your experience. Pros and cons etc. The biggest differences in the ’01 & the newer models is the stiffer, larger swingarm/axle, the addition of a cartridge in the front forks/ no air adjustment, & the Delphi FI system was new for ’02 (but yours is carbed, so it doesn’t matter).
Is the road King 01 FLHR in good condition?
I’ve just recently come across an 01 FLHR with very low miles. The bike is in immaculate condition and the price is very good. I am *very* tempted, but before I do anything I’d like to ask what the differences are (if any) between the 01, 02, and 03 Road Kings.

Problem today: there are still a lot of bikes of those years (built date on bike frame) out there that have NOT had a problem YET or NOT been repaired by the owner before coming apart…. BE CAREFUL MY 2000 fxds was a problem child and I DID ALL the repairs on my dime…..
What kind of bike was the 2001 Road King?
I traded up to a 2000 RK from a ’01 Dyna-Glide. The Dyna rode great (they are the best riding bikes H-D makes, aside from the touring bikes). I was considering a touring bike since most of my friends rode them and I decided to ride the Dyna to look at a RK about 30 miles away.
