How often to shift F-250 Super Duty to 4 wheel drive?
The first was “ MBuckholz ”. No need to shift into four-wheel-drive. Just lock the front hubs and drive around once a month for the day in 2 Wheel Dr. that will spin the front axles, turn the diff, spin the front driveshaft that connects back to the transfer case, and will stir up the transfer case.

The gear ratios for the Ford Super Duty trucks are 3.31, 3.55, 3.73, 4.10, 4.30. I am not absoutely sure of the 4.10/4.11, but is has been a good and common ratio for ever.
Why does my Superduty 4×4 not turn on?
Put a meter on the shift motor if you read voltage at the shift motor and the motor doesn’t move its probably the motor. There is a slim chance a wire has chaffed shorting somewhere leaving you with voltage and no current to actually move the motor, but that is a slim chance in hell.
Is the Superduty 4X4 even trying to engage?
